The Samsung Galaxy S2 remains the best selling handset of 2011
Let’s start with the size. The Galaxy S2 is a big device measuring 125mm x 66mm yet in an extraordinary 8.49mm chassis. This could prove to be too big for a lot of people and one-handed use could be limited to only those with large hands. Luckily, Samsung have thought about this and have placed the lock button on the right hand side; easily accessible by our thumb which increases functionality – a neat little trick. Also, the phone itself will fit in any pocket as it’s so thin; in fact, we’ll forget it’s even there as it’s only mere 116g. This is thanks to its all plastic body which many will frown upon as it doesn’t give the Galaxy S2 the premium feel it deserves. Be rest assured though, the quality of plastic is much higher than its predecessor, the original Galaxy S and doesn’t feel as cheap.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 has a full 8 megapixels as its camera. The interface is very clean and easy to use. What’s more pleasing is the great quality of images as well. There’s low noise, a lot of detail and the images are very sharp. Colours are slightly oversaturated but many prefer it this way as it makes the pictures look more vivid. Also, when photos are viewed on the Galaxy S2’s Super AMOLED Plus display, it is real eye candy.
